DELF / DALF Preparation Course

How do we prepare DELF DALF exam at Easyfrench ?

You are required to come at least 6 weeks before the official starting date of the DELF/DALF examination. Please refer to the official calendar of examination (updated yearly). During the period you will be preparing the exam, you will have can choose the types of preparation that fits your need :

  • Intensive course : 20 hours of normal French group course + 10 hours of preparation
  • Intensive Plus course : 20 hours of normal French group course + minimum of 5 hours "One to One" preparation during afternoons

It is up to you to choose the option you are the most comfortable with. We can advice you on the option that fits you the best.

A quick overview on DELF/ DALF diplomas

  • DELF for "Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française"
  • DALF for "Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française"

These diplomas consist of 6 diplomas independent from each other. Each of the 6 diplomas is a reference for assessing your French as foreign language qualification. They are officially recognized by the French ministry of Education and determined by the Common European Framework of References for languages.

Summary table for the official French language qualification :

DELF A1 and A2 Elementary user: validates a basic knowledge of French and a "survival" level for daily life DELF A1 : 60 hours from Beginner level

DELF A2 : 160 hours from Beginner level (100 hours from DELF A1)

DELF B1 and B2 Independent user : confirms a good knowledge of French and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing covering a wide range of topics within the modern French language. DELF B1 : 310 hours from Beginner level (150 hours from DELF A2)

DELF B2 : 490 hours from Beginner level (180 hours from DELF B1)

DALF C1 and C2 * Proficient user : validates fluent and spontaneous communication skills at highest level and include specialized topics, chosen by the candidate himself. DALF C1 : 690 hours from Beginner level (200 hours from DELF B2)

DALF C2 : 890 hours from Beginner level (200 hours from DALF C1)

  • All diplomas are independent from each other
  • You hold them lifetime, and they are recognized anywhere in the world
  • All four competences (speaking, writing, listening and reading skills) are tested for each level
